Zapdos is level 5 or Legendary Level Raid Boss. It is one of the Legendary Raid Bosses in Pokemon GO. As it is Legendary level, it can not be defeated solo. Number of minimum trainers needed is still doubtful, few on Reddit clams it can be defeated by as few as 10 players, but we recommend at least 12 trainers to take it down.
As Zapdos is a ELECTRIC and FLYING type, and it’s got a few very strong counters.

ZapdosUseful Tips
Please remember Legendary Raids and not meant to fought alone, so do not try to solo it, go with a group. Other thing is always use Pokemon which are strong against the Legendary and have the right movesets.
Zapdos is week against ICE, and ROCK type moves and takes Super Effective damage from them, due to its dual ELECTRIC and FLYING type. Best Pokemon to use against Zapdos is Tyrantar with Bite – Stone Edge/Crunch, then Golem with Rock Throw – Stone Edge.
Zapdos takes not very effective damage from GROUND type attacks, so please be very careful with your Golems!
In addition to Ground, Zapdos takes reduced damage from the following move types: BUG, GRASS, , FIGHTING and STEEL.

These Pokemon are weaker than the counters mentioned above, but they are still viable, especially in large raid groups:
- Gengar with any combination of moves
- Nidoqueen with Stone Edge
- Magcargo with Stone Edge
- Sudowoodo with Stone Edge
- Espeon with Confusion / Futuresight
- Exeggutor with Confusion / Psychic
