Not all Pokemon in Pokemon Go can be found everywhere as some of them are exclusive to a particular region. So to complete their Pokedex players have to travel around the world. This is not a good concept as most players won’t travel around the globe for a game.
But it seems Niantic is listening to us as two of the recently released Gen 3 regional exclusive Pokemon Seviper and Zangoose has migrated and changed location with each other. So know at least you can fill one hole in your Pokedex, this is a good change and Niantic should keep in doing it.

Region Exclusives
SEVIPER AND ZANGOOSE
Seviper and Zangoose are Gen 3 Pokemon and are known for their rivalry. When launched Seviper was exclusive to Europe, Asia, and Australia while Zangoose occupied North America, South America, and Africa.
Since then the pair have swapped locations so Seviper is currently catchable in North America, South America, and Africa and Zangoose in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
PLUSLE AND MINUN
Plusle and Minun are sister Pokemon and are only available in opposing regions.
Plusle can be found in North and South America, and Africa whereas Minun lives in Europe, Asia, and Australia.
RELICANTH
Relicanth is a fish-like Pokemon exclusive to New Zealand Fiji, Vanuatu, and New Caledonia.
HERACROSS
Introduced in Gen 2, Heracross is exclusive to South America and some southern parts of North America.
Heracross was also available in Chicago for those attending the Pokémon GO Fest in July 2017.
CORSOLA
Corsola prefers warmer climates and is only spawns along the Equator (between 31°N and 26°S).
KANGASKHAN
Kangaskhan is only catchable in Australia. However, has been known to migrate.
- Spawned for few weeks in August in some place of Europe and America and during the Safari Zone events
- 2017 Global Catch Challenge, in Asia.
- America – During the 2017 World Pokemon Championships.
TAUROS
Tauros is an exclusive Pokemon only catchable in the United States of America.
FARFETCH’D
Farfetch’d is the gen 1 exclusive Pokemon for Asia but it has been catchable in other parts of the world.
Trainers worldwide were able to catch Farfetch’d for 2 days after the 2017 Global Catch Challenge.
MR. MIME
Mr. Mime is only catchable in Europe though it has been seen in other regions for special events.
- During the Pikachu Outbreak and Tottori Safari Zone event in Japan.
- Korea – During Pokemon Go week in November 2017.
