Pokemon Go became a thing in 2016 before that kids and some adults had Pokemon series and others to obsess about but even before that, they had dinosaurs to mesmerize them. And now with Jurassic World Alive, Universal Studios and developer Ludia Inc. are offering them to catch those dinosaurs in the real world.

Unlike Pokemon Go where you walk around to fight and catch cute little creatures which you use to fight gyms and other players, you will be going after the most dangerous creatures on the planet, which you can train to build up your strike team to fight other players’ teams.

It has a lot similar to Pokemon Go as players will find supply drop boxes just like Pokestops around them from which when spun will drop items needed for the gameplay.

Players walk around flying a “drone” and when they encounter a dinosaur, they use that drone to collect their DNA by sticking them with darts, more accurately you hit the target, more DNA you collect. Players have limited time as the drone has a battery, which drains out quickly and the further away you are from the Dino, more battery is drained out to reach them. One can create your own hybrid creatures and battle your dino “strike team” against other players.

Players will encounter dinosaurs ranging from common, rare, epic and legendary. It goes without saying that the more rare or difficult the find is more powerful that beast will be.

Players have to collect 4 dinosaurs before they are granted access to real-time player-versus-player arena battle. In the AR mode, players can also view their creatures in the real world surroundings and can take a picture or video of the beasts roaming around in their backyard or in their kitchen or anywhere they like.
