Pokemon Go gives players reason play the game every day. A daily bonus feature was announced and will be introduced in an upcoming update, giving players additional experience points and items for catching Pokemon and visiting PokeStops on a regular basis. The feature was originally discovered last week in a data mine of a recent update, but the details of daily bonuses were still unclear.
Niantic has shared some specifics regarding the daily activities
Daily bonuses
Catching a Pokémon every day will earn the following bonus:
- 500 XP
- 600 Stardust
Catching a Pokémon every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
- 2,000 XP
- 2,400 Stardust
Visiting a PokéStop and spinning the Photo Disc every day will earn the following bonus:
- 500 XP
- A number of additional items
Visiting a PokéStop every day for 7 days straight will earn the following larger bonus:
- 2,000 XP
- A greater number of additional items
Niantic also specified how they will work, activities reset at 12AM local time, so if you catch a Pokemon at 11:59PM on Tuesday, the daily bonus for Wednesday will be available a minute later at 12AM on Wednesday. Keep this in mind while putting together weekly streaks, because a single missed day will force you to start over.
Niantic has not announced a release date for daily bonuses yet.
